On Thursday 14th September 2023, Marsha de Cordova, MP for Battersea held a Jobs Fair in Battersea.

Over 300 people attended and were able to meet with employers from across a range of sectors including industry leaders and the award-winning global PR agency Milk & Honey which is headquartered in Battersea.

There were a range of jobs available including in public services, engineering, construction, retail, and hospitality, including a wide range of managerial roles. The vast majority of employers were offering the London Living Wage.

De Cordova partnered with the Department for Work and Pensions and Battersea Power Station as part of her drive to deliver a thriving local economy and create opportunities for local people.

Marsha de Cordova MP said:

“It was fantastic to see the high level of interest in my Battersea Jobs Fair. I was pleased that many people were offered jobs paying the London Living Wage or more, some of whom started shifts that very day.

In response to the current cost of living crisis, I am determined to provide opportunities for people in Battersea and help them access secure, and well-paid jobs.

Holding the Jobs Fair is part of my priority to create a thriving local economy and to support businesses in Battersea so we can make it the best place in the entire world to live, work and visit.”
