Marsha was appointed a Vice-Chair of the European Movement on the 16th November following the group’s AGM in London.
The European Movement is a cross-party group that supports building cooperative and constructive relations with the European Union in order to adequately address the challenges facing the UK today.
Marsha was an opponent of Brexit, having opposed it at every stage, and now regularly stands up for EU citizens living in Battersea as well as local businesses and organisations impacted by the result.
Following her appointment, Marsha commented:
“I’m honoured to have been appointed a Vice-President of the European Movement at such a critical time. With so many challenges in global politics and the potential for further fragmentation of the global economy, it is more vital than ever that we build relationships rather than destroy them.
“The European Movement is a cross-party force focused on creating productive relations on the issues that matter most – combatting climate change, creating a more equal Europe and protecting democracy for future generations.
“I am confident we can help to drive real change and I am proud to be representing my constituents in this new role.”
