It is so important that everyone feels safe and secure in their local communities, wherever they are and whatever their circumstances. That’s why I continuously campaign to ensure Battersea is safe for all its residents.

I work tirelessly to end the epidemic of violence against women and girls, including working with the local Met and London Fire Brigade Commanders to ensure they have the confidence and consent of the community they serve. My work also includes addressing youth violence by pushing for more funding for youth services – a proven source of prevention.

I also work to ensure proportionately and equitability in policing, including campaigning against the abhorrent practice of child strip searching.
