In Battersea
Battersea is a thriving, diverse place full of opportunity and brilliant people. I love going out to visit residents, businesses, charities, youth clubs and places of worship!
Walkabouts
I hold regular walkabouts for businesses and residents in Battersea. I always want to be up-to-date with the issues affecting you, so I can do everything I can to make sure that Battersea remains a fantastic place to live, work and do business.
Coffee mornings
I host coffee mornings every six weeks in different parts of the constituency. These events give local residents the opportunity to speak with me, local councillors and members of my casework team to raise any issues or proposals they have about the area.
If I am coming to your area you will be notified two weeks in advance by post.
Surgeries
I hold surgeries on alternate Thursdays in Battersea. If you would like to book a surgery appointment, please email me at marsha.decordova.mp@parliament.uk.
Surgeries are often booked over a month in advance. If you need more immediate help, my casework team will be able to help via the same email address.
Political Summer School
I hold an annual Political Summer School for young people in Battersea. For the 2022 edition, I brought 13 young people from across Battersea to spend a week in Parliament. They learnt about politics, civil society, community organising, trade unions, business and the media. Participants heard from the deputy leader Angela Rayner MP, David Lammy MP, Ed Miliband MP and our own Councillor Jamie Colclough, who attended the programme in 2021.
Campaigning
I am always grateful to the members of Battersea Labour for their support. Since I first became the candidate for Battersea, they have been amazing in their energy and commitment. I regularly go out campaigning with local party members, knocking on doors across the constituency and making sure the people of Battersea know what Labour can do for them.
I am extremely proud that we now have a Labour council at Wandsworth Town Hall and 13 Labour councillors in Battersea!
