The Angiolini Inquiry Report makes for sombre reading and my thoughts today are with the family and friends of Sarah Everard.

Wayne Couzens should have never been allowed to be a police officer.

This is another damning report that highlights the multiple failings in the police and worryingly shows that little has been done since Sarah Everard’s murder to overhaul police vetting, standards, and misconduct systems to ensure something like this can never happen again.

These findings will cause huge distress to constituents in Battersea and people across the country.
