The Prime Minister has lost the authority to govern our country, I believe she should reconsider her position.

Since Liz Truss was elected by the Conservative membership, she has failed to show the leadership this country needs especially as we deal with a cost of living emergency.

The country has lurched from one crisis to another under her leadership. The Prime Minister’s economic growth plan has been completely overhauled, two leading cabinet members are no longer in position and today we saw bullying and manhandling of MPs in voting lobbies. She has lost control of the country and her Party.

The Conservative Party should be utterly ashamed of its actions over the past months under former Prime Minister Boris Johnson and now Liz Truss. Once again, they have put their interests over the interests over the country and caused serious long-term damage to our country. Their behaviour shows the true level of entitlement and contempt they have for the people.

We are living in a Tory crisis: made in Downing Street, paid for by the people.

We need to urgently restore integrity and trust in Government. The Prime Minister must resign and there needs to be a General Election.
